About Us
Sis Baleh Association Committee (Inc.) grew out of ordinary village meetings and has become a formally incorporated association serving communities across Vanuatu.
Our Story & History
The committee began as a small group of families meeting under a nakamal roof to solve one problem at a time — a broken water pipe, a school fee, a cyclone-damaged roof. What started as mutual assistance between households became a structured programme of community development.
Over sixteen years the work widened: clean water catchments, seed banks, youth apprenticeships, weaving cooperatives, mangrove replanting and disaster readiness drills. Incorporation under Registration No. 501668 gave that work legal standing, allowing the committee to receive grants, sign partnership agreements and publish audited accounts.
Our vision is a resilient and self-sustaining Vanuatu where every island community can protect its environment, pass on its kastom, and decide its own development priorities.
