Our Projects
Work that begins and ends in the village
Every initiative is proposed, delivered and reviewed with the community that hosts it. Below are the three programme areas the committee currently maintains.

Community Infrastructure & Clean Water
Water, food and shared spaces
We help rural and remote areas secure the essentials: rainwater catchment tanks and gravity-fed pipelines, repairs to village halls and nakamals, solar lighting for community buildings, and seed banks that keep gardens producing after storms.
- Rainwater catchment and filtration for households and schools
- Gravity-fed pipeline repairs maintained by trained village crews
- Community hall and nakamal restoration after cyclone damage
- Village seed banks and shared tool libraries for local gardens

Environmental & Climate Resilience
Protecting the coast that protects us
Vanuatu sits on the front line of climate change. We coordinate mangrove replanting, reef-safe fishing agreements, forest protection with customary landowners, and cyclone preparedness drills so that every household knows its evacuation plan before the season begins.
- Mangrove nurseries and shoreline replanting days
- Reef-safe fishing agreements negotiated with chiefs
- Forest and watershed protection with customary landowners
- Cyclone and tsunami preparedness drills at village level

Cultural & Social Welfare Programs
Kastom, skills and family wellbeing
Culture is livelihood. Weaving and carving cooperatives create income while keeping technique alive; youth mentorship pairs school leavers with tradespeople; and family health education brings nutrition, maternal care and clean-water hygiene into everyday village life.
- Weaving, carving and handicraft cooperatives with fair market access
- Youth mentorship and apprenticeship placements
- Kastom storytelling and language recording archive
- Family health, nutrition and hygiene education drives
